The tree is vigorous with an upright and subsequently high-spherical crown shape. The variety is late-maturing, characterized by biennial bearing, and begins bearing fruit after 12 or more years when grown on its own roots. The plant is frost-hardy, adapted to humid climates and soils, and possesses immunity to scab and powdery mildew. It is a diploid, self-sterile variety.

The fruits are medium to small in size, having a conical or elongated-conical, often asymmetrical shape. The skin is yellow with a red blush and waxy bloom. The flesh is white, juicy and tender, with a sweet-and-sour spicy flavor. The storage life of the fruits is up to 4 months. It is used fresh, for making jelly, as well as in the production of cider and fruit distillates.
