The variety is a chance seedling discovered after the Second World War. The tree has medium to fairly vigorous growth and is easily trained. There is also a colored clone of this variety named Jelgavas Vasaras Sarkanais.

The fruits are of medium size, which can increase with fruit thinning, and have a round-conical or conical shape. The ground color of the skin is light yellow with a slight blush. The variety requires preventative measures against scab and quality care, and is intended primarily for home gardening.
