The Jeptiška tree is characterized by strong growth intensity, a sturdy trunk, and a large, spreading, dense crown. The variety is a triploid, which determines its status as a poor pollinator for other apple trees; Parmen zlatý, Cox's Orange Pippin, and Ananasový reneta are recommended as the best pollinators for it. The plant possesses good resistance to frost and diseases, and develops well on deep, fertile, heavy, and moist soils.

The medium-sized fruits have a conical shape. The skin is dark red with stripes, visible lenticels, and bloom; in the sun, it may acquire a violet hue. The flesh remains firm and acidic until winter, later becoming juicy and sweet-sour with a vinous and moderately spicy flavor. The harvest is collected in the second half of October, consumer maturity begins in January, and the fruits can be stored until the beginning of summer.

The variety is suitable for fresh consumption after a ripening period and is also used for processing, including the production of juices, cider, jams, and drying.
