The tree is of moderate vigor and forms a rounded crown. The leaves are large, broadly oval, dark green with strong serration along the edges. The variety is a good pollinator; flowering occurs in the mid-early period.

Fruits are medium-sized, oblong-rounded, often barrel-shaped. The skin is smooth, shiny, greenish-yellow with a dull red striped blush, dots, and net-like russeting. The yellowish-white flesh has a tender texture and a spicy wine-sweet taste.

The variety is demanding regarding soil fertility and the choice of planting site, preferring areas protected from wind. It has moderate sensitivity to fire blight. Harvesting maturity occurs in October; the fruits are suitable for consumption from December and keep until March.
