The variety was obtained by crossing the hybrid "Tohoku #2" (a descendant of "McIntosh" and "Worcester Pearmain" varieties) with the "Redgold" variety (a hybrid of "Golden Delicious" and "Richared Delicious"). Previously, the variety was tested under the working name "Morioka #15".

The tree is described as medium-sized, with an upright growth habit and the ability to bear fruit early. The fruits have a mass of 150–200 g, an oblate shape, and a solid bright red skin color. The variety is intended for fresh consumption.
