The Langelands hvid pigeon variety originates from the Danish island of Langeland. Scions of the variety were obtained from the Snedkergården farm in Klavsebølle.

The apple tree is used as a dessert variety. The fruits have the ability to neutralize stomach acid and contribute to cleaning teeth and gums.

The variety is maintained in the collections of Danish genetic banks and public gardens, such as Medicinhaverne Tranekær, as part of the cultural heritage.
