The variety was obtained in Canada in 1914 as a seedling of the Langford Beauty variety from open pollination. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor and a vertically spreading crown shape. The fruiting type is on spurs.

The fruits are large in size and round in shape. The skin is firm, light yellow with a dark red blush on the sunny side. The flesh is white, juicy, tender, and crisp, possessing a sweet taste and a specific aroma.

The consumption period for the fruits is October–November. The variety is self-incompatible and requires pollinators. Data on disease resistance in the literature is limited.
