The variety is a chance seedling discovered in Linsenhofen, Germany. It is presumed to descend from the 'Goldparmäne' variety. In its youth, the tree grows upright, forming a narrow, high-pyramidal crown that widens with age. The plant is noted for its reliability, hardiness, and vigor.

The fruits are small to medium in size, flat-round in shape, with a golden-yellow skin and a brownish-red blush. The flesh is creamy white, juicy, with a sweet-and-sour aromatic taste. The variety is characterized by very late flowering, which is resistant to spring frosts. The harvest is gathered from mid-October, and the fruits keep until March.
