Trees are usually medium-sized, reaching 2.5–3.5 meters in height, with a spreading or rounded crown. Fruits are medium to large, ranging from 120 to 350 g, with a round, round-conical, or cup-shaped form, sometimes with ribbing. The smooth skin turns lemon-yellow when ripe, with a slight blush possible.

The fruit flesh is tender, juicy, with a sweet-and-sour taste and a specific lemon aftertaste or aroma. Varieties in this group are often characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to scab. They are suitable for fresh consumption, culinary use, and processing, while winter varieties are suitable for long-term storage.
