The Magenta (UEB 42721) variety is a decorative columnar apple tree with a weak- or medium-growing compact crown. Flowering occurs approximately three days earlier than the Golden Delicious variety, and the flowers have a red-purple hue.

The plant possesses genetic resistance to apple scab (Rvi6/Vf gene) and is distinguished by very high precocity. The variety is classified as decorative and is not intended for commercial fruit production.
