The variety was bred in Latvia and included among new varieties at the beginning of the 21st century. Breeding work on the variety was carried out by the Pure Horticultural Research Centre.

The fruits of the variety are characterized by good keeping quality, which allows them to be stored until the end of February or the beginning of March. The variety is intended for food consumption.
