The variety is the result of folk selection and natural adaptation to foothill conditions. Fruits are round, flattened, small or medium-sized. The skin is smooth, turning yellow with red spots or a blush upon ripening.

The flesh is white, firm, crisp, and juicy, possessing a sweet-and-sour or sweet taste. The variety belongs to late ripening groups and is noted for its ability to be stored until March-April without loss of quality.

The plant is hardy, well-adapted to growing on poor soils and slopes. The tree is resistant to common apple diseases and is suitable for organic farming.
