Variety description

The variety is a clone of the Melrose variety, obtained by crossing the Jonathan and Red Delicious varieties. The fruits are large, round-flat in shape with a more intense red skin coloration than the original variety. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm and juicy, and has a dessert taste.

The variety is classified as late-winter, harvesting is carried out in October, and the fruits are suitable for consumption from November to April. The fruits retain their shape well during heat treatment, which allows them to be used in cooking. Low susceptibility to scab is noted. The growth vigor of the tree is determined by the selected rootstock.
