The variety is part of genetic resource collections, in particular the Pometum collection of the University of Copenhagen, and is being studied as part of the preservation of old Danish varieties. In its characteristics, the variety is classified as diploid.

Studies of the organoleptic properties of juice from the fruits of this variety revealed specific flavor and aromatic qualities resembling apricot. Detailed agronomic characteristics, including data on ripening times and disease resistance, are absent from open publications.
