The tree is distinguished by vigorous growth and forms an upright crown. The late flowering of the variety has traditionally contributed to reducing the risk of damage by spring frosts. Fruits ripen between September and November, with dates depending on the growing region.

Fruits are medium to large in size and have a truncate-conical, flat, or flat-round shape. The skin is yellow or greenish-yellow in color, sometimes with a red blush. The flesh is white, juicy, with a sweet or sweet-and-sour taste. The variety is traditionally used as a table apple and for culinary processing.

The variety is adapted to local climatic conditions and possesses resistance to diseases, pests, and frost. It is found under various local synonyms, including Hocico de Perro, Morruda, and Hocicuda, and represents a group of similar local forms.
