The variety is considered an 18th-century seedling from Holstein and has been known in Denmark since the end of the 18th century. When using vigorous rootstocks, the tree can reach five meters in height; the scaffold branches are distinguished by their strength.
Fruits are of medium size and have a characteristic oblong or conical shape. The flesh is yellowish-white, tender, fine-grained, juicy, with a sweet-and-sour taste. The ripening period is October; the consumption period lasts from December to March.
The variety is sufficiently hardy to low temperatures. It exhibits high resistance to scab, but may be susceptible to powdery mildew and bacterial canker.
