The tree has medium to strong growth vigor, with a spur-type fruiting habit. The fruits have a greenish-yellow ground color with red stripes or a blush covering up to 75% of the surface. The whitish flesh is firm and fine-textured. The variety shows resistance to scab but is susceptible to powdery mildew and apple canker, and is also prone to dropping if not fully ripe.

The variety is a dessert type, suitable for fresh consumption and processing into juice. It is currently preserved primarily in collection orchards as a genetic heritage.
