Adams Pearmain fruits are medium-sized, with a truncated-conical shape. Their skin is yellow-green with a reddish blush and distinct brown reticulated russeting, which makes the surface rough. The flesh is firm, creamy-white, fine-grained, and aromatic.

The tree is moderately vigorous, forming a spreading crown. The bearing habit includes ovaries at the tips of shoots; with age, a tendency toward biennial bearing manifests. The variety is triploid and requires pollinators, and possesses moderate resistance to scab.

Harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in October; the shelf life is up to three months. The variety is used as a dessert apple and is also suitable for cider production.
