The variety is a clonal mutant of the Jonagold apple. The plant exhibits vigorous growth in the first years of life, which becomes moderate with age; the branches tend towards a horizontal position. Flowering occurs mid-season.

The fruit are large or very large, with a yellow-green ground color and an intense dark-red blush. The flesh is juicy, with a balanced sweet-and-sour taste. The harvest period falls between the end of September and the end of October. Due to good keeping quality, the fruit can be stored until June.

The variety is a triploid with low pollen quality; therefore, planting pollinator varieties is necessary for yield formation. The tree is characterized by early and regular cropping. The variety is used primarily for fresh consumption.
