The tree of this variety has a compact upright crown shape, in some cases described as weeping, reaching a height of 2.5 to 3.5 meters with a width of up to 2.5 meters. The variety is mid-season; harvesting in New Zealand conditions occurs in April.

Medium-sized fruits have a sweet-tart taste with a balance of sugar and acid. The skin is colored bright pink-red on a pale green background; the flesh is creamy white, firm, and juicy. The fruits are distinguished by excellent keeping quality and are suitable for fresh consumption.

The variety shows resistance to diseases, in particular to apple scab. In breeding work, it is used as a parent form for developing new varieties.
