The variety is derived from a chance seedling of Braeburn found in New Zealand. The trees are characterized by medium vigor and a compact crown. To achieve optimal flavor qualities, the variety requires a long growing season.

The fruits have a yellow-green ground color with a pronounced blush. The flesh is firm, crisp, and has a characteristic aroma. The variety features good keeping quality and is for universal use, suitable both for fresh consumption and for culinary processing.
