The Pimona variety is a late-summer cultivar whose picking maturity occurs in mid-September, and the fruit consumption period lasts from October to December. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor.
The fruits are medium-sized, flat-shaped, and ribbed. The primary skin color is green, with a brownish-red striped blush covering up to 70% of the surface. The flesh is of medium density and has a sweet-and-sour taste with an aroma resembling the Cox’s Orange Pippin variety.
