The «Pure Ametist» variety (also known as «Ametists») is a product of a breeding program conducted in Latvia using parent forms «Iedzēnu» and «Idared». The tree demonstrates a tendency for annual bearing, the fruits hold firmly to the branches and are resistant during transportation.

The fruits are truncate-conical in shape, quite large, and covered with a bright red or clay-red blush on a green-yellow background. The taste of the fruits is evaluated as sweet-and-sour, with a distinct caramel aroma. Harvesting is carried out in the second half of September, and the fruit storage period lasts until February-March.

The variety possesses polygenic resistance. Under unfavorable weather conditions during the growth period, such as high temperature and excessive humidity, the development of lenticel spotting is possible, which can negatively affect the shelf life of the fruits.
