The tree forms a medium-sized canopy, reaching 4–5 meters in height in a half-standard form. Growth is moderate, slowing down once fruiting begins. Flowering is late and prolonged, which ensures stable yields even in cold and high-altitude regions. The variety is resistant to wind; the fruits hold firmly to the branches.

Fruits are medium-sized, ranging from round to conical in shape, with smooth, glossy skin almost entirely covered by an intense red blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, juicy, with a wine-sweet taste. Fruits are harvested in mid-October; consumption maturity begins in December, and they store until early summer.

The variety is prone to scab and canker, especially on poor or heavy soils. Historically used as a table and culinary variety, as well as for cider production.
