The variety is a clone of the Cox's Orange Pippin variety. The tree is vigorous or medium-vigorous, depending on the rootstock, and can reach 4–8 meters in height. The variety is self-fertile, but cross-pollination contributes to an increase in yield.
The fruits are medium-sized, about 100 g, and have a brownish-red color with bright red stripes. The flesh is yellowish-white, fine-grained, firm, and juicy. The ripening period is September; consumption is possible from mid-autumn to mid-winter.
The apples belong to the dessert group, are intended for fresh consumption, and are also suitable for processing. The variety is suitable for cultivation in home gardens and for training as espalier.
