The tree is vigorous and winter-hardy, entering production in the 3–4th year. The harvest ripens in July or early August; fruiting is extended and often periodic in nature, requiring thinning to maintain fruit size.

Fruits of medium size, weighing 120–150 g, have a round or slightly conical shape. The ground color of the skin at maturity is yellow with a crimson or dark red blush covering most of the surface. The flesh is cream-colored, sweet, tender, and aromatic.

The variety is a dessert type, suitable for fresh consumption and culinary processing, but is not intended for long-term storage. Susceptibility to apple rust and a tendency for fruits to drop are noted.
