The variety belongs to the processing group of acid apples and is valued for its contribution to the organoleptic properties of cider, providing the necessary level of acidity for the beverage. The variety is not intended for fresh consumption as a dessert apple.
Raxila Ácida was developed as a result of the hybridization of Raxao and Priscila varieties. Scientific studies on Asturian varieties document certain biological parameters of the plant, in particular, flowering periods.
