The variety belongs to cider apples and is included among the varieties permitted for the production of cider with the Protected Designation of Origin (DOP) "Sidra de Asturias". The fruits are characterized by low acidity and tannin content.

The plant is distinguished by a long flowering period and high pollen viability, reaching 98.3%. Due to these properties, the variety is considered one of the best pollinators for other apple trees, ensuring high-quality cross-pollination.
