The variety is an improved clone of the «Boskoop» variety and is characterized by medium or large-sized fruits of irregular shape. The fruit skin is rough, «russeted», with a pronounced red overcolor. The flesh is juicy, firm, coarse-grained, and possesses a refreshing acidic taste and aroma. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and culinary processing, and can be stored until February.

The tree forms a beautiful dense crown. The plant height is determined by the choice of rootstock: both vigorous ones for traditional orchards and semi-dwarfing or dwarfing forms for intensive plantations are used. The variety is self-incompatible and requires the presence of pollinator varieties. Harvesting is carried out at the end of September. The crop is considered demanding in terms of agricultural practices and is prone to scab infection.
