The Rea Gold variety tree has moderate vigor, branches well, and forms a crown of a regular pyramidal shape with wide branch attachment angles.

The variety is early, with fruit ripening occurring approximately four weeks earlier than the Golden Delicious variety. The fruits are characterized by an attractive appearance, juicy crispy flesh, and excellent aroma. The variety possesses good winter hardiness.
