The variety was obtained in 2003 at the Research Institute for Fruit Growing in Pitești. Its genetic background is a cross between Florina and Idared.

The plant possesses genetic resistance to apple scab of the Vf type, as well as high resistance to fire blight. The variety is intended for commercial fruit growing and is suitable for use in super-intensive cultivation systems in combination with M9 rootstock.
