The 'Red Aroma' variety, also known as 'Amorosa', is a hybrid bred in 1973. The tree is characterized by moderately vigorous growth and the possibility of cultivation on dwarf rootstocks. The variety is not self-fertile and requires pollinators, while it can itself act as an effective pollinator for other varieties.

Fruits are large, rounded, and yellow-red or intensely red in color. Ripening begins in September, and the consumption period lasts until January. The variety is susceptible to the fungal disease Elsinoe pyri, especially in the absence of fungicide treatment. The purpose of the variety includes fresh consumption, baking, and processing into juice and cider.
