Variety description

Trees are medium-sized or moderately vigorous. The crown is rounded, broadly rounded or oval; at a young age, the branches are directed upward, with age the crown becomes more drooping. The variety is of winter maturity; harvest maturity occurs in November.

Fruits are medium to large in size, of regular round-conical or flat-globular shape. The skin is thin, smooth, yellow-green at harvest, later pale yellow, with small dots and a possible slight blush on the sunny side. The flesh is yellowish-white, firm, juicy, with a balanced sweet-and-sour taste.

The variety is characterized by good wind resistance. Regarding other resistance factors, data varies: it is noted as undemanding and productive, however, there is conflicting information about susceptibility to scab, powdery mildew and drought, as well as vulnerability to the apple ermine moth and codling moth.

Used as a dessert variety for fresh consumption; previously used for juice production. The variety was used by breeders to develop new varieties, including the «Богатырь» variety.
