The Rīgas Rožābele tree has a relatively low height and a broad crown. Fruits are medium-sized, ribbed, greenish-yellow in color with a pinkish or reddish striped blush. The fruit flesh is juicy, sweet and sour; the variety possesses good keeping quality for a summer ripening period.

The variety shows high resistance to scab and canker, however, during hot periods it may be affected by powdery mildew. Medium or insufficient resistance to spring frosts is noted, which can lead to serious crop damage. The variety is for universal use and grows well on various soils.
