The variety is a medium-sized tree with a well-branched crown, the height of which varies from 2 to 6 meters depending on the rootstock type and environmental conditions. Medium-sized apples have yellow-orange or brownish-orange skin color on a yellow-green background. The flesh of the fruits is juicy and firm.

Harvesting begins in mid-September, and the fruits are ready for consumption from October. The variety prefers a mild maritime climate, high air and soil humidity, while exhibiting sensitivity to scab and collar rot. Historically, the variety became the basis for the breeding of many modern apple varieties.
