The variety is triploid, does not produce fertile pollen, and is not suitable as a pollinator. The tree is vigorous and forms a broad crown adapted to various types of training, including espaliers.
Harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in mid-to-late October; consumer maturity lasts from December to February-March. The fruits are medium to large in size, round-conical in shape, with a greenish-yellow skin often featuring russeting and an orange-red blush.
The flesh is creamy-white, firm, and distinguished by a high vitamin C content and an intense wine-sweet flavor. The variety is demanding of soil and climate, prone to scab and powdery mildew, as well as pre-harvest fruit drop.
