The variety is classified as an autumn one: harvesting begins in September, and the fruits can be stored until December. The tree grows to 2–4 meters in height, has an annual growth rate of 20–40 cm, and forms a wide canopy 2–3 meters wide. Cultivation requires sunny or semi-shaded locations with permeable and nutritious soil.
The fruits are large, oval-shaped, and have a yellowish skin with a red striped blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, with a semi-fine texture. The variety is valued for its decorative flowering with light pink blossoms in April–May, as well as for the suitability of the fruits for baking and juice production.
In some sources, the variety is also mentioned under the name Apfelmuser.
