The tree is medium-sized; at a young age, the crown is upright, and over the years it becomes broad, spreading, and sparse. The variety bears fruit abundantly and regularly, but in cold regions, it is prone to biennial bearing. It prefers fertile soils, requires formative pruning in the first years of life, and is recommended for cultivation in traditional orchards.
The fruits are medium to large in size, conical in shape, and often narrow towards the calyx. The skin is smooth, yellow when ripe with a red blush or stripes. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, with pronounced acidity. Harvesting maturity occurs in mid-September, and consumer maturity lasts until December or January.
The variety is considered resistant to scab and powdery mildew; however, on heavy soils, it is susceptible to apple tree canker. The wood is sensitive to low temperatures, so warm locations are preferred for planting. The main use is industrial, in particular for the preparation of juices and applesauce.
