The variety is a chance seedling discovered in the middle Rhine region. The tree forms a broad, high-spherical or pyramidal crown. It is a triploid variety, enters fruiting medium-late, and is characterized by high yield with signs of biennial bearing.

The fruits are small or medium in size, with a tough, smooth skin of green or yellow-green color with a reddish blush. The flesh is firm, coarse-fibered, and yellowish-white. The harvest is collected in mid-October; the fruits are suitable for consumption from February and can be stored until June.

The variety possesses high resistance to winds and harsh climatic conditions, is moderately susceptible to scab, and is prone to canker on waterlogged soils. It is classified as a culinary/industrial variety intended for processing into cider, juices, and brandy, as well as for cooking.
