The variety is a spontaneous mutation of the Jonagold apple tree. The fruits differ from the original variety by a more intense red color and a rounded shape. The variety retains the taste characteristics and texture indicators inherent in the Jonagold group.

The tree inherits the growth characteristics typical of the Jonagold variety. It is classified as a late summer or autumn variety. The variety requires standard agrotechnical measures for orchard protection, similar to the care of other clones of the Jonagold group.
