The tree is characterized by very vigorous growth and forms a large, widely spreading crown with moderate branching. The variety is triploid, which makes it sterile and requiring pollinators; yield has a tendency toward periodicity.

Fruits are large or very large, round, often ribbed in shape. The skin is dry, matte, often with reticulated russeting, yellow-green in color with a possible orange-red blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, with an intense sour-sweet taste and high sugar content.

Harvest maturity occurs from late September to mid-October, consumer maturity lasts from December to April. The variety prefers heavy, moist, calcareous soils, is resistant to scab and canker, but is susceptible to fruit rot and fire blight.
