The tree is characterized by vigorous growth at a young age, later growth slows down. It forms a high-domed crown, which becomes wide-spreading over time. The variety is demanding of soil conditions: on heavy soils the fruit may be acidic, and premature fruit drop is possible during moisture deficiency.

The fruits are medium-sized, round, and often ribbed. The smooth skin changes color from light green to golden yellow upon ripening, often with a red blush. The flesh is yellowish-white, juicy, initially firm, and becomes softer and more crumbly over time.

Harvesting takes place in mid- or late October, consumer maturity of the fruit lasts from November to April. The variety is moderately susceptible to scab and powdery mildew, but highly resistant to fruit tree canker. It is a good pollinator variety.
