The fruits of this variety have an irregular angular shape. At harvest, the ground color of the skin is whitish-green, and by the time of consumer maturity, it changes to whitish-yellow. The skin is smooth and dull-shiny, becoming greasy during storage. Despite being sensitive to pressure, the fruits are not prone to rotting at the damage sites. The fruit flesh is greenish-yellowish-white in color and firm.

The variety has a relatively short shelf life; with prolonged storage, the flesh of the fruits softens. The plant is still found as part of traditional Streuobst-type orchards. The variety is local and historically significant for fruit growing in the Rhineland region.
