The tree is medium-sized, reaching a height of 4 to 8 meters depending on conditions and rootstock. The variety requires a pollinator tree of another variety, and fruit thinning is recommended for regular yields and good fruit size.

The fruits ripen at the end of October and are suitable for long-term storage. They have a characteristic star shape and are yellow in color with an orange blush or bright red hue. The flesh is firm, crisp, white or cream-white, sometimes with pink veins, and has a mildly acidic taste.

The variety is used as a dessert apple and is also popular in cooking, as the flesh turns red during heat treatment.
