The variety is a product of folk selection and has a historical connection with the vicinity of the city of Gubbio. The plant is characterized by a medium-high growth type. The fruit ripening period falls in July-August.

The fruits have an average weight of about 59 grams and a slightly flattened shape. The flesh is white, crunchy, moderately juicy, with a sweet taste. The storage life of the fruits is short. Traditionally, the variety was used for fresh consumption or oven drying.

Currently, the variety is of interest for the conservation of agrobiodiversity and is being studied as part of projects for the protection of local genetic resources of Italy.
