The tree is vigorous with a broad crown. The fruits are medium to large in size, round or conical in shape, with smooth, shiny, yellow-green skin and a possible reddish blush. The flesh is white-yellow, juicy, semi-firm to firm in consistency, and has a harmonious taste.
The variety is triploid and does not produce high-quality pollen for pollination. Harvest maturity occurs in early October, consumption maturity is from January to March. The apple tree is winter-hardy and resistant to scab, powdery mildew, fire blight, and apple tree canker.
The fruits store well but are easily damaged by pressure. The variety is used primarily as a processing variety for making juice and cider, as well as in cooking. Due to its strong and reliable trunk, it is often used as a rootstock or interstock for top-working.
