The variety is winter-maturing, with the harvest ripening in early October. Fruits of medium size have a yellow color, almost completely covered by a bright red blush with stripes. The flesh is white, firm, and juicy; the taste is characterized as sweet-sour.

The tree is of moderate vigor with an upright, spreading crown. The variety possesses high resistance to scab, which makes it suitable for organic gardening. In the absence of fruit thinning, the tree is prone to biennial bearing.

The fruits have high keeping quality and can maintain consumer properties when stored in a refrigerator for up to 6–8 months. In the USA, the variety is sold under the trademark Crimson Gold, which may lead to confusion with the historical variety of the same name of American breeding.
