The tree is of moderate vigor with a sparse crown. Fruits ripen in mid-to-late September and are distinguished by their large size and rounded shape. The fruit color is bright red or purple-red, sometimes with a greenish area.

The fruit flesh is firm, greenish-white, juicy and tender. The taste is sweet with a characteristic cinnamon aroma. The variety has good keeping quality, maintaining marketability until December–January.

The plant is distinguished by high winter hardiness and relative resistance to scab. Yield is abundant but may be biennial in nature. The fruits are versatile in use, suitable for fresh consumption, culinary purposes, and cider production.
