The Tahe tree has medium vigor and is characterized by winter hardiness and general health. The variety was obtained from an open-pollinated seedling of 'Aia ilu' and was first planted in its permanent location in 1974.
The fruits are very large, weighing from 150 to 200 g, sometimes up to 265 g. They have a round, often irregular and ribbed shape. The skin has a greenish-yellow ground color with a golden hue or a weak pinkish-red blush. The stalk is thick, about 20 mm long.
The flesh of the fruit is firm, coarse-grained, and sweet-sour in taste. The fruits have good keeping quality, retaining their consumer qualities until the beginning of the new year. Tree yield is medium and stable.
