The Ukrainskoje variety, also known as Ukrainsk Kæmpe, is a bush apple tree reaching a height of up to 3 meters. The fruits are large, with light-colored skin and dense, juicy, sweet-and-sour flesh. The ripening period occurs in October; the variety possesses winter hardiness of zones 1–5 according to the Scandinavian classification.

In Russian-language sources, there is a description of the Ukrainskoye ranneye variety, which is a summer variety with ripening dates from late July to mid-August. The tree is medium-sized with a spherical crown; the fruits, weighing 140–200 g, have juicy, aromatic flesh. High winter hardiness and regular yields of the crop are reported.
